Introduction, aims and target groups

The lesson plan is divided into two main lessons spanning 120 minutes each.

Target group

Motor Mechanic Lecturers (for teaching motor mechanic students) and possibly upper secondary chemistry students.

Teaching goals

The purpose of this lesson plan is to:

  • promote the investigation of alternative fuels for today’s vehicles
  • integrate IT technologies with practical applications
  • communicate knowledge and understanding through audio and visual displays.

Assessment

  • Students should be assessed on the outcome of their digital presentations. In this way the student teaches themselves by explaining the experiments to a camera or doing a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Students could also be given a digital questionnaire through Google docs to analyze skills and knowledge learned.
